Santorini belongs to the archipelago of the Cyclades in Greece. The island is the most southerly one together with nearby Anafi. Many scholars identify Santorini with the myth of Atlantis, the famous lost continent thought to be on the seabed somewhear. The story confirms what Plato wrote, or that Atlantis may have sunk in a single day and all that remains of a volcanic island exploded thousands of years ago during one of the most catastrophic events in Earth's history. Today is crescent-shaped with small islands arranged in a circle. The volcano imploded on itself, before sinking.
All these features would define as Santorini island for vacationing couples. Without a doubt, the panoric views offers a romantic atmosphere like no other.
